May All Beings Be Free.
This project is an invitation to a new way of being, with collective wisdom to guide you to cultivate sanctuary and connection, find hope and healing, and live in a way that honors Nature and all beings who share our precious home.
May this project become a collective prayer for healing — for ourselves, for each other, and for the natural world.
Cultivating Sanctuary
Mr. Rogers said, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”
Through mindful intention and focused action, we can use our lives to create kindness, beauty, and a compassionate world that we’re proud to be a part of and to hand down to the next generations.
The journey may start with a renewed commitment to self love. But it doesn’t stop there. In a world marred by disconnection, isolation, and violence, we have an unprecedented opportunity to choose connection, community, and compassion — and a responsibility to extend those core values to all beings here with us.
It’s easy to get lost and to feel off path. But we can all reclaim our personal power and a purposeful place in this world.
Sometimes all it takes is a seed, a spark, or a renewed sense of hope — and these helpers, healers, community leaders, and caregivers are doing the work the world needs. Their wisdom and insights may light a lantern to guide you.
Access — to finances, other resources, natural spaces, and opportunities — varies for each of us. This project aims to provide reflection and action steps open to people from all walks of life, socioeconomic statuses, and geographic areas.
An Invitation
Connect to Yourself and Others
Wisdom keepers share their practices for self-care, mindfulness, tapping into creativity, and staying centered in a chaotic world.
Intentional living communities share their frameworks, insights, and approaches to peacefully coexisting and working through conflicts with other people while staying authentic and true to yourself.
Honor the Rights of All Beings
All sentient beings deserve to live their lives free from, pain, fear, distress, discomfort, and exploitation, and to live in a way that is natural for them. Animal sanctuaries and conservation stewards share stories about rescuing abused animals, choosing coexistence over killing, and how you can help, no matter where you are starting.
Reconnect with the Natural World
Nature is a great teacher, with infinite lessons for those who pause and listen. Wilderness guides, herbalists, Ecovillage innovators, defenders of sacred spaces, and earth adventurers share tips for reconnecting with the natural world and living in a way that honors earth. By re-wilding ourselves, we can gain new perspective and liberation.
